Amanda Piche, dds
Dr. Amanda Piche is a an American Board Certified Periodontist and Dental Implant Specialist. Dr. Piche, an Iowa native, received her Bachelor of Science in Health Services with a concentration in Bio Sciences and a minor in biology from DePaul University. She received the DePaul Presidential Scholarship and NCAA Division I Athletic Scholarship for Track and Field where she thrived in discus, making the Big East All-Academic Team.
Dr. Piche graduated from the Iowa College of Dentistry, where she received numerous academic awards and recognitions for research and published articles. Some of the most notable include the University of Iowa College of Dentistry Dean’s Academic Award (four years), the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, the American Academy of Periodontology Student Award and the University of Iowa College of Dentistry Research Achievement Award. She graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) with a certificate in periodontics where she set records in patient treatment and clinical outcomes.
Dr. Piche chose to specialize in periodontology due to the ability to be an expert in the surgical aspect of dentistry, the meticulous procedures associated with periodontology and the ability to save patients’ teeth and restore their overall health.
Dr. Piche has fallen in love with Lexington, citing the area’s beauty and the warm reception she receives from Central Kentuckians. She is an admitted foodie, whose hobbies include lifting weights, baking, crocheting and travel. One of her greatest passions is animal welfare. Dr. Piche lives in Lexington with her husband, Dr. Celin Arce, an American Board Certified Prosthodontist at The University of Kentucky. They have two greyhounds, Luna and Simon.
