Beaumont Periodontics is proud to welcome Dr. Katie L. Flynn to our practice. A Lexington native with a deep-rooted passion for patient care, Dr. Flynn brings an exceptional academic background and a commitment to clinical excellence to our community.
Education & Advanced Training
Dr. Flynn’s journey in healthcare began at the University of Kentucky, where she earned her undergraduate degree and a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences. She then moved to Charleston, South Carolina, to attend the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). There, she earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine and demonstrated her natural leadership abilities by serving as the President of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA).
Returning to her Kentucky roots, Dr. Flynn completed her rigorous specialty Residency in Periodontics at the University of Louisville, where she mastered advanced surgical techniques and the complexities of periodontal disease management.
A Legacy of Care
Medicine is more than a career for Dr. Flynn; it is a family calling. As the daughter of Dr. Leslie Horn, Katie was profoundly influenced by witnessing her mother’s dedication, compassion, and the life-changing impact of her patient treatments. This firsthand look at the power of healthcare inspired Katie to follow in her mother’s footsteps, eventually specializing in periodontics to help patients maintain their oral health and confidence.

Her expertise spans a wide range of periodontal and implant services, including dental implant placement, soft tissue grafting, bone regeneration, and the comprehensive treatment of gum disease. Dr. Flynn’s clinical philosophy centers on personalized care, ensuring every patient feels heard, comfortable, and empowered in their treatment journey.
At Home in Lexington
Outside of the office, Dr. Flynn enjoys life in Lexington with her husband, Clark, and their two beloved dogs. She is thrilled to be serving the community she calls home and looks forward to welcoming you to the Beaumont Periodontics family.
